We called on Jennifer because we tried decluttering ourselves with only limited success. We recognised reluctantly that the only way forward was to call in professional help. It was a difficult decision as we are normally self-directed and independent types who do not like to admit defeat.

At the very first contact, we identified Jennifer to be the right person with the right skills and attitude to solve our problem. From the start, she has been respectful, efficient and effective. Because of our medical circumstances, we had to admit the decluttering had to take a gentler and more leisurely approach than we first thought.  Jennifer was most cooperative and understanding of our needs and has allowed us to achieve a lot of clear space in the process. It was so timely when I spotted Jen’s van on my way home from work. After getting her contact details I got in touch with her straight away! I was struggling with finding the ‘space’ in our home as it had too much stuff.

Jen provided the perfect set of eyes, suggestions and pair of hands to help me get the job done. She was very respectful and understanding of what our family needed. She also suggested and helped me rearrange the position of furniture in our place which made an even more significant difference to our living space. My home is now a place I can relax in!

Jennifer’s Decluttering Service recently assisted me with my house move and I am delighted to provide a reference for the outstanding and caring service provided.

Being incapacitated due to an injury I needed assistance with packing all my personal effects as well as general home contents. Jennifer was incredibly respectful when dealing with personal items and provided a calm and supportive presence in a challenging time.

Late last year my family and I had the unenviable task of preparing my late father’s house in Kingsgrove for sale. In order to meet the Real Estate agent’s tight deadline for the first open day, we needed to clear out the house in a short space of time. Realising that we had a monumental task on our hands we decided that we needed some extra help from an outside agent. We had been recommended Jennifer Manefield from a friend as someone who could help us in our endeavour.

From the initial phone enquiry to the completion of the project Jennifer did a tremendous job organising and managing the jobs at hand. She also importantly gave us a timeline of when things had to be completed. Jennifer took charge and sorted out 50 years of clutter from my parent’s house. Always respectful of the personal items she was dealing with Jennifer grouped items in various categories, some to keep, some to sell and some to discard. If that sounds easy believe me it wasn’t. As well as identifying potentially valuable things we should keep, Jennifer organised disposal of useful items to charities, and also recommended an eco-friendly rubbish recycler. She also had a listing of various businesses who might have been interested in buying some of the “treasures” my parents collected over the years.

In the end, we met the deadline for the first open day, and the house sale went well. This was in no small part due to the great job Jennifer did. I wholeheartedly recommend Jennifer’s Decluttering Solutions to anyone requiring assistance in decluttering and/or organising a move to a different place of residence.

Over the last 18 months, we completed an extensive home renovation and all of our household goods were stored in our garage. While Jenny Manefield was visiting, she offered to help us to clean out our garage and assist us with moving back into the house. As a military family, we have moved many times and had also stored household goods from each of our moves that remained unpacked in our garage.

Jenny oversaw the removal of all items from the garage. She assisted us to create areas so that we could sort through items logically, deciding what we needed to keep, donate, sell and throw out. Her experience working in a Vinnies store enabled her to advise us what would be donated to them that would be deemed useful, and what we needed to send to the ACT Government’s Green Shed. Jenny set up a ‘washing station’ so that containers were cleaned before items were repacked and returned and stored neatly in the garage.

We were able to clear our garages and move cars back in within one day, a task that had previously seemed too difficult. I would certainly recommend this as a valuable service….
